The Grand Mesa Downhill Race

This ride begins at the top of the Grand Mesa, at the County Line Trailhead. Riders will descend on Highway 65, 20 miles into Cedaredge CO. Finish is at Town Hall on Main Street with an after party at Lost Mesa Grill. This will be a heated start, allowing 30 seconds between riders.

This is a fairly mild descent but there are some pot holes and bumps that can take out a bike if you hit them too hard or unexpectedly. Pay special attention to signs warning motorcyclists - you might as well be one of them. You should be comfortable going 35-50mph on your road bike for this descent.

This "race" is just for fun, so there's no official prize, but we'll have some gag prizes and schwag at the party for riders.
