Here in Silent Country, being outdoors is a way of life; wrenching, riding, and racing! We work on all types of sports equipment - new and old - and carry many treasures of days past. A shop born out of the manufacturing industry and one that is unlike others in the area; there is no "cannot be done."
We carry Kink BMX bikes, Monday Motorbikes, Aventon, Velotric, and Heybike eBikes as well as many other brands such as We The People, Sun Seeker, State Bicycle, just to name a few. Our shop changes with the seasons and we have got the gear and apparent you need to have a great time any time of year on the Grand Mesa! We carry Smartwool, Chaco, Big Agnes, Osprey, and Custom-made hoodies from Salt Creek. In the winter, we are a dedicated ski shop carrying Rossignol skis as well as many other top gear brands you won't find for miles around!

ABOUT this SHOP
Silent Country Cycle & Ski started off as Silent Custom Cyclery and was founded in 2010 in Vista, California by Marty Ulrich, as a custom parts manufacturer. Now located in historic downtown Eckert, Colorado along Route 65 on the southern Grand Mesa slope, Silent continues as a bike repair shop, eBike dealer, BMX dealer/sponsor, and Nordic ski shop in the winter months. Owner, operator, and founder, Marty Ulrich, specializes in custom bicycle builds, eBikes, classic restorations, wheel building, as well as, general repairs, tune-ups, and his favorite: fixed-gear conversions. He is also a bicycle culture enthusiast and advocate.
The primary goal, as a business entity in Delta County, is to advocate fitness, get people on bikes, develop trails and parks, and represent community events in cycling. Last year dozens of rebuilt bicycles were given away to our community through a regular giveaway and it continues each month! To add to this, the addition of Nordic skiing and winter sports is a nice complement to the bike shop and we offer ski rentals, wax, and tune-up service in season!
Unique racing events are what we do in the summer, to showcase our beautiful mountains and canyons! We offer limited group and private local tours as well as competitive events for all throughout the riding season and into the winter! Tour packages coming soon!
