During the 1978 "Klunker Craze" that literally started mountain biking as we know it, Schwinn wanted in on the game since most of the bikes used for Klunking were modified Schwinns, so they took their Cruiser 5 and added beefy wheels and put Klunker 5 on the chainguard in select markets, only to be sued shortly after 1980 and forced to remove the "Klunker" label. This is one of the few that are left.
